Happy Food Allergy Awareness Week 2024!!

Otis the food allergy awareness dog

Meet Otis, The Food Allergy Awareness Dog! 🐾

Now, you might be thinking, "Does he detect peanuts? Does he bark at the first sniff of an allergen?" Nah, that's not his gig. Otis is more of a "lick-your-ice-cream-right-off-the-cone" kinda pup. He'll snatch a cookie out of your kid's hand faster than you can say "food allergy," leaving behind a trail of tears. 😅 Sure, his snack-stealing antics could be helpful (in a weird way), but detecting allergens? Not so much. He's just wired to detect food—because, well, he's a dog!

But despite his insatiable appetite for table scraps and countertop snacks, Otis is all about spreading love, kisses, and cuddles. And today, he's here to remind you that it's Food Allergy Awareness Week!

Did you know that 1 in 13 children has a food allergy? That's about 2 kids in every classroom! And hey, one of those 5.6 million kiddos lives in our house. We're label-reading ninjas and food allergen avoiders extraordinaire! 🥷

As for Otis, he's our resident happiness provider and stress-reliever. Who knows, maybe one day he'll  surprise us and lay in his own bed at supper time instead of being a shark around the food table 🐶 #FoodAllergyAwareness #SnackSnatcher #OtisTheDog
